I Recently stumbled across this blog post from BOSS Snowplow from back in 2012. This is all good information from their team regarding plow trucks and overheating. Heck, it's been an ongoing issue in the industry for decades. BOSS even goes so far as to include 'guidelines', 'best-practices', 'warnings' and the such in the documentation you receive when you purchase a new plow. And not to single out BOSS, because I believe the other major players in the industry broadcast the same information. Basically, the short story is....DO NOT travel over 35 mph with your plow and keep the snow plow down and angled to prevent overheating. Well, that is all good information, but, that was before PlowFlowmaster™
Now, when I see this information still out there on the web, and many people we talk to are still under the impression that this is just an inherent problem that is unsolvable, and I'm thinking to myself...'I think it's time we rethink this whole thing'. Our products solve this in a universal fashion with all plow manufacturers. No more expensive radiator kits, upgraded clutch fans, and other expensive mechanical repairs. Our solution is a simple snow plow accessory that works right on top of your plow. It's low profile, built really well (it takes a serious beating), and honestly, looks pretty cool if you ask me! So I'm thinking, is the industry ready for our product? Will they accept our product and its unequivocal proof that it works (backed scientifically) and finally toss these old warnings and finally say...'Hey! we recommend PlowFlowmaster Air Deflectors™ and feel free to drive over 35 mph) We hope so. We think it's time. But, the only real way the 'Industry' will accept it and adapt, is if customers (plow operators, owners, mechanics) finally fed up with this issue take the first step and move forward into the future. No more old ways of thinking. Those customers of ours that have already seen the light, thank you... Spread the word... The future is now... -Dave Klein, President https://info.bossplow.com/Blog/bid/114654/Snowplow-Tips-Protecting-Your-Truck-Transmission-During-Snow-Removalinfo.bossplow.com/Blog/bid/114654/Snowplow-Tips-Protecting-Your-Truck-Transmission-During-Snow-Removal We've got some great sales going on just in time for the Holidays! -PlowFlowmaster Family We are thrilled to announce that we have been granted our official utility and design patent #9551122 from the United States Patent and Trademark Office today. It has been a long road and we couldn't be more happy to get the news! Stay with us as we continue to embark on new and exciting products and add them to the PlowFlowmaster family. Frequent storms across the northeastern U.S. this winter may lead to an above-normal season for snowfall. "I think the Northeast is going to see more than just a few, maybe several, systems in the course of the season," AccuWeather Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok said. Unlike last season, in which most of winter's snowfall came from a few heavy-hitting storms, this winter will last into the early or middle part of spring and will feature frequent snow events. According to Pastelok, accumulation may be limited in areas south of New York City, such as Philadelphia, D.C. and Baltimore. These areas will see a handful of changeover systems, where falling snow transitions to rain and sleet. "But still, Boston, Hartford, along the coastal areas up into Connecticut and southern New England, they can still have a fair amount of snow," he said. Overall, it's predicted that the region will total a below-normal number of subzero days, though the temperature will average 3-5 degrees Fahrenheit lower than last year. We are now fully immersed in social media! Check us out, and communicate with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
We have been hard at work on research and development as of late. And have been testing our products with the latest in wind tunnel simulation software. As we were working on R&D, it came to mind...why not share some of the results with you all. We are so pleased with what we saw. Our products doing exactly what we want them to do, and even better results than we could have hoped for.
So...we exported some of the testing footage and compiled it into a short, one minute demonstration. Its quite impressive and really shows how well our products really do work. Please follow the link! CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEO After figuring out the proper angle it works great and saved me the hassle from having to change my setup. Went from 225+ in 3rd gear with the heater going to 195 in overdrive at 55 mph with no heat. Thanks a bunch! Trent Moeggenberg
